Zakum with Warfare Eyes friendly guide

Part 1: Running in the Guild

First I'd like to start this section of the guide off by stating that it is aimed at the members of the DMS guild “Warfare”. Although it is targeted at our guild, it has the potential to be used as a benchmark for another guild if they so wish. This guide's aim is not to tell you how to kill Zakum, but how to behave when participating in our Zakum runs. Our goal is a smooth Zakum kill. That being said, let's get to the meat.

Requirements:

* You must be in Warfare.
* You must be level 130+ to participate in our Zakum runs. (This shouldn't be a concern seeing as we don't recruit anyone under this level anymore.)
* You must have completed the Zakum prequests.
* You must agree to follow instructions to the letter.

The Basics:

You will be told about the run in guild chat anywhere from fifteen minutes to a few hours ahead of time. You will be asked to gather in El Nath by the run's organizer. A Bishop will be sent to Magic Door the other run members. Before you are doored, please make sure you have enough potions for the entire run. This includes at least 100 All Cure potions in case your bishop disconnects or is busy mobbing. All Cure potions can be bought from Alcaster for 800 meso. Once you've been doored wait patiently until everyone is gathered at El Nath: The Door to Zakum. The run organizer will then begin to form the parties. These usually consist of a main attacker party, a secondary attack party, and a party of whoever is left (That means you Mono). Once you've been partied please enter Last Mission: Zakum's Altar to reduce the amount of spam and/or make it clear that you've already been partied. Once everybody has been assigned to a party you will be asked to register with Adobis. The party leaders will be asked to verify that everybody in their party is registered and ready to begin. You will be warped into the Zakum Dungeon shortly. The organizer will take note of who is participating and who survived the run (I take a screen shot, others might have different methods). Once inside, you should head to the right platforms. The run organizer will then ask those who are unhelmed to go his left. Loot order may or may not be determined ahead of time, seeing as people who are unhelmed tend to die off or disconnect anyway (Besides you Medic). If it is determined ahead of time, you are to obey it, failure to comply will result in expulsion from the guild. Our priority is to helm the guild, but spares will then be given off to anyone who wants to re loot. After this is handled the organizer will give a brief re run of the following rules:

Rules:

* You will not be revived if you die at arms.
* Do not attack Zakum after he is summoned, you must wait 10 seconds (not milliseconds).
* The previous rule applies to all his other bodies as well (after arms, second body, third body).
* Turn pet looting off.
* Once Zakum is killed, you must hug the left wall. Do not kill the flying mobs! Hug the wall until the organizer has looted the drops.

Note: This might not be a rule, but chatting during Zakum leads to death. Keep it to a minimum.

Additional information:

* Only certain members of the guild are authorized to host a guild run. This is to prevent abuse of loot and other problems.
* Don't ask when the next run is. Authorized organizers determine when there are enough people online and willing to go through a successful run. (It happens almost daily anyway)
* Although we sometimes take people who are not in the guild with us on our runs, it is not common. Don't bother us about runs. We will come to you to fill in spots.

Authorized Organizers:

1. All Guild Master/Juniors:
1. Vasto/Omnislash
2. Medic
3. Zeek/Furry
4. MyBFF/Graduation
5. Lell
6. Critical
7. Mono
8. 6ixx/HeavnOrHell/xRyu

Note: This right can be earned, it is not exclusive to the guild ranks. Show us you're mature and we'll take notice.

Part 2: Buying a helm from the Guild

This section is aimed at potential buyers. We recommend the following simply to ensure you're helmed as quickly and painlessly as possible.

The Basics:

Before we allow you to come along on our run you will be required to pay. This payment will most likely be done through a store to avoid tax.

Buy the following potions well before the run, we do not wish to wait for you as you go from El Nath to NLC and back again:
All classes but mages:
Melting Cheese ~ 400
Mages:
Ginger Ale ~ 400

If you're interested in buying a Zakum Helmet from us, check out this thread for prices and all other services offered.

Part 3: ETC

Fix to the Body Disconnect:

Certain Vista users sometimes experience a disconnect at Zakum's third body. The exact reason is unknown to us but I speculate it has something to do with graphic drivers. Anyway, a common fix to this problem is either minimizing your game client and then maximizing it, or changing your graphic quality settings in game just as the body is summoned. This is the reason we ask you to wait 10 seconds before attacking the next body. A more detailed version of this fix can be found in our guild BBS.
